We count full years, then leftover full months and days between your birth date and the selected date, using your local calendar so leap years are handled correctly.
What does the Time of Birth field do?
It makes the live counters (hours, minutes, seconds) precise to the exact moment you were born. If you skip it, midnight is used.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Only your last few dates are saved locally on your own device so you can reload them quickly, and you can clear them anytime.
How accurate is the Chinese zodiac?
It is based on the calendar year, so people born in January or early February may belong to the previous animal because the Lunar New Year date changes each year.
